Today, I contacted some owners of lost labs to let them know about this site.

One of them, Mary, emailed straight back with a reply. She has given permission for me to copy our correspondance to here........

" Hi Rhoni and Sam,

Thank you for writing to me, I don`t mind at all.

I`m one of the lucky ones, just got my Lab (CJ) back today!, some man took him to the kennels I`d given details to and wanted to board him!, he could`nt say if CJ`s shots were up to date and admitted he`d had a collar on that I`d described (he does`nt have it now) so they scanned him and checked his chip number with me, they matched of course.

I spoke to the man (before I found out what he`d done) to thank him for handing CJ in, he told me he`d found him the day after he went missing!!, there`s words I could use here but I won`t!.

I will visit your site, it`ll be nice to talk with other lab owners:)

I hope very much that Caroline gets George back soon.

" By all means please do post my story to the lost Labs site, I`m in the process of joining the main forum now and then will look at George`s story, I see a thread on Lost Labs asking for help finding him, hopefully I can do something along with everyone else:).

I`ve got the man`s name, he gave it to me along with his address!!, I`m surprised he did that considering he`d effectively stolen CJ, he said he`s going on holiday for a week though hence taking CJ to the kennels, hopefully the shock of being caught out will put him off trying that kind of thing again, I`m so glad I had CJ chipped!.
