Rosie a 4 month old black lab puppy went missing from our back garden just outside Gainsborough Lincs on Feb the 18th. She was ina safe enclosed garden so whether she managed to open the side gate or was taken it is hard to know.
She was wearing a blue nylon type collar and has a white speckled patch on her chest.
she is very friendly and very bouncy and a bit scatty.
I have added Rosie's details and picture to our database.
I have e-mailed you with our checklist hope this is of some
help to you.

Hi
Sorry there haven't been any sightings of Rosie.
Try to get loads of posters up the more people that see them the better
Visit the kennels and dog homes aswell as phoning them on a daily basis
Hope you have some good news soon.

Hi Jackie
I'm sure Rosie's owner will be on later and will see your offer of help, you
can print off posters and help spread the word that Rosie is still missing.
thanks

~ok deep breath~
on Saturday on the way to see my horse i stopped by the local rescue kennels (lovely people) to met with surprise that we hadn't been reunited yet......apparently not long after i reported her missing on Sunday the 18th a woman took a puppy that was found in willingham matching her description to the kennels. They dont take dogs from the public so they told her to take her the police and she said she was going to Saxilby police station.
Saxilby police station have no report of her taking her there (or there is a possibility of them telling her to take her to gainsborough?????? where they have kennels)
so somewhere between Saxilby and Ingham dog kennels something has gone wrong.
Ingham didnt take any details of the woman, and if the woman did take her too Saxilby police station they didnt take any details either.....
so now i am left with a dead lead....
the positives though is the local community support officer is making inquiries and was a bit miffed at Ingham for not even taking the womans name. And if it was Rosie it means she isn't shivering starving outside....
I have spent the weekend calling other rescue places just in case she was taken there....but with no luck, the RSPCA has no record either if she was taken there.
so a bit lost what to do now.
Monday i am printing up more posters....(my printer refuses to work typical)
Putting a Lost ad in the local Rag
and keeping my fingers very very crossed she turns up.
It seems a lack of communication is hindering this a bit between the police and the kennels but atleast now the community officer is looking into it.....

Ok I'm really concerned that you haven't been reunited with little Rosie yet, despite all the help! I can't believe that there could be a mix up between the police and the kennels: between saxilby and gainsborough, those kind of mix ups don't happen or they shouldn't!!!
Your little girl is somewhere and we have to find her. I promised you I would help, and I will. Please let me know what i can do, I'm just down the road and I will help. I've called my friend who lives just down the road from you and she rides out every day through the village, she has promised me she'll also let me know if she see's her or someone suspicious with a new little puppy!!! You can pm me or alternatively, contact me via msn. I did speak to your oh today so you can get my number from there! Please don't hesitate I will do all I can, I'm local.

hi there, i live in east lincs but work for lincs police i am just wondering whether you have rung up police HQ yet because sometimes especially if it is a small station, the call would have been put through to HQ and they keep a separate lost and found dog register and sometimes, they are not matched up.
I know of at least two occasions where people have found dogs and called up, been put through to HQ and then the loser has called and been put through to the actual station and they havent been matched up.
If i can be of any help let me know

i have been really concerned over whats happened, the community officer was really quite annoyed with the kennels for not even taking a name and was going to tell them off for it.....it really does seem like something has gone awry somewhere, whether the woman who took the dog that matched Rosie to the police station or not seems to be the biggest question i have to answer....and if she did what happened then?
i really need to get posters sorted but my printer has died, so if you can help with putting some around that would be great when i get some printed out.
thank you for asking your friend to keep an eye out hopefully if Rosie hasn't been picked up she may still around although i have scoured the village every evening at around dusk to see if she was hiding up somewhere.
i was half considering boxing my horse over to the vllage (he is kept in east ferry) to ride him around as Rosie adores him and quite happily follows him around well like a puppy....and i thougth he may coax her out.

when we first went to Saxilby no one was there so we used the yellow phone outside which put us through to HQ....when we finished and were about to leave the community officer showed up, and he was really great, HQ has got my report of her going missing but have no matching records of found dogs.
i am going to ring around again tomorrow, it seems inconceivable that she has dropped of the radar completely....
if there is any chance could you keep an eye on the found dog records? just in case she shows up?
thankyou for your offer of help...
