Hi Everyone,

As a result of last nights meeting we have agreed to set up a unique system.

We intend to have a complete database of contact email addresses in the event a missing dog is registered.

The plan is, when a missing dog is reported, the relevant county will be retrieved from the database and all contacts blanket emailed.

The database will be split into counties and within each county will be the email address of all media outlets, papers, TV, radio, along with vets, rescues, training schools, pounds, dog wardens, pet shops, boarding kennels and any specific contacts directly relating to the breed of dog lost.

We already have the media contacts so half the job is done...but we are looking for additional help to ' take on a county ' and find the remainder of the info, in terms of email addresses, to create a complete county ' file '.

Areas that have already been spoken for are:

West Midlands - Kev
Manchester and Lancashire - Mary
Kaye - Devon
Somerset - Rhoni
Hopefully Cornwall

If anyone would like to assist in the creation of this important database please post here with your choice of county. All required help will be given to assist helpers.

To be able to create this database will enable us to be ready to act immediatly and flood the area with details of the missing dog before it has had an opportunity to move on or be stolen.

We would like to thank those above who have already offered their help and look forward to more joining us.

Many thanks

Rhoni

I know things are not good just now, but I am ready to do my bit for the LL database regarding Tiverton, and surrounding areas as previously stated on LF.

If I'm needed to go further afield, please let me know.

Best wishes to you all.

Fay
