Copy of post recieved......
Hi Julie sorry to bother you but not sure where to post this or if i need to!! just got back from one of sherpa's favourite walks in woods near by. came across the most beautiful yellow labby, no coller no owner.some young girls were feeding him bread when he came to say hello to us.they said he did not belong to them and had just started to follow them. he ran off before i could figure out a way to bring him home with me. as soon as i got home i rang the dog warden to say that a lovley lab is running around free. i guess what i am wondering is wether there is somewhere to post a notice to or has anyone reported a missing yellow male lab in the holley Hill park region of southampton? i will ring the dog warden again in a while for an update as she said she would send someone to look for him.
Any info or help gratefully recieved
Holly Hill park is sarisbury green not Bassett and dog is NOT entire

Update.....
Anna has been out searching this morning and called me to say that any other searchers, apart from the wood, can they concentrate around the sports ground area please as she wasn't able to cover it.
Also Sarah is going out to look later also...
Thanks to them both

Update
This evening Anna went to search again and spotted a Lab / Retriever. She very nearly managed to catch him but couldn't. She rang me and asked for help. Sarah and her intended rushed to her but the dog had gone.
Sarah called a local keenel she knows and with the description given confirmed this dog was Oscar !
Oscar takes himself for a walk most nights before taking himself home !
Lets hope the lab from last night found his way home too.
A personal thanks to Anna, Sarah and Trizia for all their efforts today, and thanks for tonight Sarah, appreciated it

Update
Trizia says....
just to update you on the labby. we have just got back from Holly Hill, where i met up with another doggie friend of Sherpa's. as we were walking around i told her about the yellow labby on tuesday. She then described him to a tee and said that 3 weeks ago she took a yellow lab home with her.(lives close by and the lab had run out into the road which runs along side the woods.)
when the warden arrived, he wasn't microchipped. my friend rang the following day and found out that he had been collected by his owners.he does live nearby.
Although he was out again tuesday i can only hope he headed home and hopefully the owners were encouraged to have him chipped, as the council have recently been offering free microchipping of cats and dogs.
So everyyone it looks like the mystery is solved, lets hope the owner takes advantage of the free chipping service and makes the escape route secure eh?
A personal thanks to Anna, Sarah and Trizia for all their fine efforts....Thank you
