Yesterday (16th June) a lady found a stray Labrador in the Lime St area in (NN10) Northamptonshire. He had been seen in the area since Monday (11th June).
The lady took the dog for a walk in the area to see if he led her to his home but he was exhausted. She eventually took the dog to Wellingborough Police Station who will pass him on to the dog warden on Monday.
The dog is adult male (not neutered) black, no particular features, no collar or tags, very friendly and calm and has been trained as he answers to basic commands and walked very well on the lead.
Regarding age, we have little to go one other than he seems elderly...but that could mean 7 + depending on his lifestyle and as a result he may of been dumped. But there is still a chance his owners are looking for him locally or if dumped, could off come from another county.
Thanks to Claire

Aw poor boy Any luck in finding his owners Rhoni?...
This might seem a bit weird but I prefer dogs being found than lost cos at least he's safe and we can find him a forever home if his owners don't turn up?
Am at work today but if you need me to do anything, then just let me know...

Hi Michelle
Sorry no further news on this old boy I agree with you regarding the dogs
found rather than lost, then i worry if we have found the dog is it one of the
dogs that we have listed as lost and because they have no chip or tattoo we
are unable to reunite them with their owners, but as u say these dogs can be
found forever homes and be safe in a loving home.

I presume the details have already been cross-checked with other missing dog sites? There are about 3 or 4 older Black labs still missing on DogLost, from the last few months, including a 10 year old boy missing from Northants (albeit missing since 6th November...)

Hi Vicki
Yes these details are cross-checked and sadly we still can't find a match
the old boy missing from Northants that you are talking about is a neutered
dog and others that match age ect are chipped.
